A Handy Video!!

  • A video that I have frequently used in my classes.
  • You can either choose to show it to your students with subtitles or not.
  • I suggest to not use subtitles, because the lanuguage used is fairly easy.
  • I have tried with higher level students to turn off the sound.
  • Students would have to try to understand what is going on and tell their classmates what they think was going on.
  • You could put the students in groups and ask them to make up a story from what they saw, this would be a great writing activity!!
  • Or, students could work in pairs and act out the story, one student being "Pablo" and the other "Bruno" and this would enhance their speaking skills and would give rein to their creativity.
  • With beginners you can try to have a small discussion with simple questions that they can answer individually, in groups or through a whole class discussion.
